Jonesboro Christian Karate is taught by Taashi Bill Brown. Bill’s discipleship with Christ is reflected in his teaching methods and how he deals with each class member.

Bill has more than 40 years of experience in martial arts training with two of the ‘Great’ teachers of this era, Grand Master Fusei Kise and Hanshi Jerry Partain. His Christian faith, martial arts experience and military service as a Green Beret have combined to provide a unique class atmosphere. An atmosphere that teaches martial art skills in the old traditional method, while teaching the importance of servant hood to God, Country, and family.

Tasshi believes that men and women should be competent and confident leaders in our society. People who lead by example with a Christ-like servant’s heart. Tasshi believes that the more proficient a student’s karate skills become, the stronger/more confident the student will become. With this strength and confidence comes a more meek/humble or Christ-like character. This meekness should never be mistaken for weakness.

Training to become proficient in karate and kobudo is a lifelong endeavor, much like our lifelong endeavor to become a true disciple of Christ.
